Brilliant Brain Cookbook

DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS FOR GIVING UP SUGAR AND FLOUR?

My advice for beginners is to take it one meal at a time. Change is HARD! We can be so harsh on ourselves when we make mistakes, but rewiring your brain is not an easy feat. Forgive yourself when you make mistakes. Move on. Also, change your inner dialogue. Speak to yourself like you would speak to a good friend. You can do this. Our greatest obstacle is oftentimes within us.

IS THERE SUGAR IN THE RECIPES IN BRILLIANT BRAIN COOKBOOK?

No. There is not a single recipe in Brilliant Brain Cookbook with sugar, and that includes all forms of sugar. (Naturally occurring sugar in fruits and vegetables is the exception, of course.)

IS THERE FLOUR IN THE RECIPES IN BRILLIANT BRAIN COOKBOOK?

No. There is not a single recipe in Brilliant Brain Cookbook with flour, and that includes all forms of flour, such as coconut flour, almond flour, etc. However, there ARE recipes with whole grains, so please note that this is not an entirely gluten-free cookbook.

IS BRILLIANT BRAIN COOKBOOK GLUTEN-FREE?

No. This is not a gluten-free cookbook, but many of the recipes are gluten-free! Search for the no gluten icon at the bottom of each recipe if you are specifically looking for GF recipes.

DO I NEED TO BUY ANYTHING EXTRA TO MAKE THE RECIPES IN BRILLIANT BRAIN COOKBOOK?

There are items that you can purchase to make it easier on yourself, and these items are listed in the Kitchen Tools tab. When purchasing packaged items from the grocery store, make sure that sugar and flour are not listed in the first 3 ingredients.

I DON’T HAVE A FOOD SCALE. CAN I STILL MAKE THE RECIPES IN BRILLIANT BRAIN COOKBOOK?

Yes. There is an easy-conversion chart in the cookbook with an ounce to cup conversion.

For example, 8 oz = 1 cup; 4 oz= 1/2 cup, etc.
